Description

Well, it's got a species name now. Hasn't got a name name yet though. What would you name him? (I say him for simplicities sake but these creatures are hermaphrodites)

And now, a few things you should know about a Hydros Mirtis before owning one.

1. They...are...HUGE!! No, I am not exaggerating. A full grown Hydros Mirtis uses TREES to make its nest, trunks and all. They are easily over one hundred feet tall but are very playful: a potentially dangerous combination.

2. They eat a ton. Well, that's to be expected when you're over one hundred feet tall. Their diet consists mostly of fruit. Yes, this ginormous creatures are exclusively herbivorous.

3. Each head has its own different personality. In this case the left head is laid back and likes to sleep a lot, the middle head is playful and energetic and the right head is quick to anger, fierce and courageous. They can retract these heads, along with their other appendages, to camouflage themselves as a bush. As they have no natural predators they usually just do this for fun.

4. Their mannerisms are somewhere between dog and bird: it has the playfulness of a dog and will wag its tail when happy but also possesses the quick sharp movements and inquisitiveness of a bird.

5. They lay eggs. Huge turquoise eggs which they incubate for about three months on their massive nests. Once a year the creatures migrate to ancestral breeding grounds and seek a mate. The one carrying the egg then builds a nest or makes use of an existing one where it lays a single egg. The young Hydros hatches after the three months and relies on its parent for the next year.

They're kinda of cute. I love mythical creatures, especially dragons, hybrids, and hydras. :D Good work btw.
